Digital marketing is an essential component to the success of any real estate brokerage business. In reality, it is a primary component that attributes to the success of almost any company in or out of real estate. As the Marketing Strategist at REAL Trends Technology, I am often asked where the best place to start is when getting started in digital marketing. Because digital marketing is such an expansive category it is often difficult to assess exactly where a specific company should invest their marketing dollars. However, for the most part there is a proven solid foundation that will immediately improve web traffic and lead production to your brokerage. This foundation consists of three primary components:
1. Google Adwords
Google Adwords produces ads that are relevant to what a user is actively searching on Google. By launching an effective Adwords campaign you can ensure that you are effectively reaching the proper target audience in real time.
2. Facebook Advertising
The most viewed social platform is Facebook. This platform also happens to have the most detailed user profiles of all social networks. Coupling the traffic and profiles together for advertising purposes proves to be a potent mix. Setting up and launching geo-fenced Facebook Ads will provide the most “bang for your buck” advertising online.
3. Retargeting
Retargeting is the practice of placing ads in front of users who have previously visited your website. This strategy is executed leveraging an ad network of some sort. The few of the most common and effective retargeting platforms includes Google’s Display Network and Facebook’s Timeline. Marketers can also elect to show their ads only on real estate-specific sites which will further contribute the the ad relevancy of displayed ads.
